Maggie Gyllenhaal has been named best actress at the Stockholm Film Festival for her portrayal of a recovering heroin addict in the movie ‘Sherrybaby’.
The Laurie Collyer directed movie also scooped the Bronze Horse award for best film, after being called "a pure and heartbreaking work" judges at the festival which finishes on Sunday.
Ryan Gosling won the best actor award for his role in ‘Half Nelson’.
Swedish director Lasse Hallstrom, whose credits include What's Eating Gilbert Grape and Chocolat, was presented with a lifetime achievement award.
