Despite losing million dollars of contracts after the ‘Cocaine Kate’ scandal and receiving endless bad press for dating rock junkie Pete Doherty, Kate Moss has controversially been named Britain’s Model of the Year.
Kate didn’t actually bother to turn up to collect the award, sending top fashion designer Vivienne Westwood to pick it up for her.
"I love Kate," Westwood said when accepting the award at the British Fashion Awards. "She is true to whatever she believes in. She is absolutely brilliant."
So why the hell did Kate get the award after all the controversy surrounding here?
"Kate Moss is a fashion icon and, without doubt, one of the most prolific models in the industry," the British Fashion Council explains. "She has now been modeling for over 15 years and remains at the top of her game."
