Teen singer Jojo is pissed at people who criticize her for hanging out at the celebrity club Hyde in Hollywood and thinks they should just deal with it. Joanna Levesque, who is only 15, caused a mini-scandal when her mom (who should know better) took her to Hyde in October, an adult club where patrons must be 21 or older to enter.
The worldly "Baby its you" singer gushed to People magazine, "I didn't know it was 21 and over. It's a freakin' restaurant and I was there with my mom and two other underage friends. I had milk and cookies! I wasn't drinking alcohol."
(Umm, who goes to a hot spot club in LA for milk and cookies?)
Although JoJo says her evening at Hyde "was great", she insists she won't be hitting the party scene anytime soon. "It's not really my thing. I just dipped my toes (in the scene)."
Instead, she says she is focusing on getting her driver's license when she turns 16 on Dec. 20. "I've been practicing. I'm an excellent driver. I'm not going to lie. My uncle and my friends have been teaching me. Shhh, don't tell my mom! She's afraid, but it's going good."
