Actress Joely Richardson has revealed she’s quitting Hollywood to look after her ill teenage daughter.
The 41-year-old says she’s leaving U.S TV show 'Nip/Tuck' and moving back to Britain to look after 15-year-old Daisy while she undergoes treatment for a rare condition which affects her veins.
Daisy’s condition was diagnosed when she was one. The condition weakens the valves and walls of her veins, making it harder for them to transport blood.
"Surgeons and hospitals have been a big part of our lives," Joely says.
"We were always told that she would have to have more surgery when she got older. The time has come."
Daisy is due to undergo a series of operation on her legs.
"What the future holds, nobody can say. It's all up in the air. And I don't know if I will ever be here again,” Joely says of her acting career.
Richardson has starred in the movies ‘Maybe Baby’ and ‘101 Dalmatians’.
