Hilary Duff’s stalker was the reason behind the actress’ recent split from boyfriend Joel Madden, according to reports.
Although the pair blamed their break-up on their eight-year age difference, it’s claimed 19-year-old Hilary ended the relationship after Good Charlotte frontman Joel didn’t take the stalker’s threats against her seriously.
"Hilary has been so freaked out about it, but Joel didn't think it was as big of a deal. They fought about it all the time. He wants less drama,” a source told ‘US Weekly’.
Police arrested a man, allegedly obsessed with Duff, earlier this month for making threats against Hilary and her loved ones.
