Gun possession charges against G-Unit’s Young Buck and Lloyd Banks have been dropped, after prosecutors found the weapons did not belong to them.
The rap stars were arrest in August 2005 after the van they were riding in with several other men ran a red light. Police say they spotted two weapons, including a loaded handgun, in the vehicle.
The incident happened after Banks, real name Chris Lloyde, and Buck, real name is David Brown, had appeared at Madison Square Garden as part of the 'Anger Management 3' tour with Eminem and 50 Cent.
A spokesperson for the District Attorney's office says one suspect has pleaded guilty in the case and another has been indicted.
"This whole experience reminds me of the title of my new album, ‘Rotten Apple’," Banks said in a statement.
Buck is currently on probation after stabbing a man who assaulted Dr. Dre at 2004’s VIBE Awards.
