Actor Christopher Eccleston, who plays the original Time Lord "Doctor Who", is set to start filming episodes for the popular new science fiction drama "Heroes" in January, according to Michael Ausiello of TVGuide.
Eccleston will feel right at home in the sci-fi setting of Heroes which is about a group of people who unite to stop a nuclear explosion after discovering they have superpowers, but producers aren't saying which part he'll play.
There are rumors that Eccleston, who also starred in "28 Days Later" and "Gone in 60 seconds", could take the role of mystery serial killer Syler, since a show insider blurted out to London's Daily Star: "Chris is a fantastic actor and we're delighted to have him on board. No one has seen Syler and Christopher could be perfect as the bad guy."
