Despite being blasted by fans, Daniel Craig's controversial debut as James Bond is being raved about by critics in early reviews.
The blonde Bond’s performance in ‘Casino Royale’ has been described as “terrific” and “simply brilliant” by reviewers.
He’s even been compared to the most popular Bond, with one critic saying, in the movie Craig was "oozing the kind of edgy menace that recalls Sean Connery at his best".
While another said: he "steps with full assuredness into Sean Connery's old handmade shoes".
The real test of Craig’s performance as Bond will come when critical 007 fans see the movie when it hits screens soon.
