Comedian Bill Cosby has settled a lawsuit filed by a Canadian woman who accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her.
Details of the settlement reached between 69-year-old Cosby and the woman, who is in her 30s, will remain confidential.
The woman claims Cosby sexually assaulted her at his mansion near Philadelphia in 2004.
The entertainer’s lawyers say he gave the woman Benadryl to help her with stress and sleeping problems.
The judge handling the case previously denied Cosby’s request for a gag order (which would prevent details of the case being published in the press) and the plaintiff’s request to stop the names of dozens of other women who say Cosby assaulted them from being revealed.
