Britney Spears’ family urged the pop tart to divorce husband Kevin Federline after the pair got into a massive argument last month.
Spears went to K-Fed’s Los Angeles album launch party on Halloween, but left in tears after an argument exploded between them.
"She came to support him and he treated her like s**t," a source close to the family told ‘Us Weekly’.
It was the last straw for Britney’s mom, who travelled to her Malibu home to persuade her daughter to start divorce proceedings against Kevin.
Britney’s lawyer Laura Wasser, who drew up Spears’ pre-nup, was also at the meeting.
"Kevin was never popular with anyone around Britney. She finally wised up," the source added.
