Brad Pitt has blasted allegations that three British bodyguards made racist comments at an Indian Islamic school during the making of a new movie staring him and his partner, Angelina Jolie.
Police reviewed complaints last week that security guards manhandled parents, calling them “bloody Indians” as they entered the school in Mumbai to collect their kids.
"As a film unit and as individuals we respect all religions and human beings," Brad, who is producing the movie, says.
"We are committed to tolerance and human values … It is unthinkable that anyone would have uttered the things that are being attributed to them. But if any misunderstanding has been caused, we apologize for it," he adds.
Indian police detained three of the bodyguards on Friday, but later released them on 25,000 rupees ($556) bail.
Brad and Angelina are in India shooting the movie ‘A Mighty Heart’. It is based on the life of journalist American Daniel Pearl, who was journalist kidnapped and murdered in 2002 in Pakistan by Islamist militants.
