Block Party’s Matt Tong has been rushed to hospital with a collapsed lung, after falling ill during a concert in Atlanta.
The 27-year-old drummer was hospitalised after coming of stage. He’ll remain in hospital for at least the next three days.
Tong isn’t in any danger and is in a comfortable condition, doctors say.
The injury, which it‘s believed Tong sustained while drumming, has forced the band to cancel a number of upcoming concerts.
"Matt is known for his energetic drumming style," a spokesperson for the band said. "It's not clear at this stage when he will be fit to resume performing."
Bloc Party are currently touring the States with Panic! At The Disco.
