Anna Nicole Smith has been ordered to submit her newborn daughter for a genetic test, after the ex-model’s former boyfriend won the first stage in his legal battle to prove he’s the father.
Smith insists her lover/attorney Howard K. Stern is the father, but photojournalist Larry Birkhead insists he’s actually Dannielynn’s daddy.
Smith received the news on her 39th birthday on Tuesday. But Birkhead was the one celebrating. "Today feels like my birthday. This is the best present ever," he said.
The ruling will be appealed by Smith’s lawyers, they say.
Baby Dannielynn was born in the Bahamas just three days before Anna’s son Daniel Smith, 20, died of a drug overdose at her bedside.
