Robin Williams has revealed he was motiviated to seek help for his alcohol-problems after Mel Gibson was ordered to undergo rehabilitation following his drink-driving arrest this summer.
Robin described the incident as a "big-wake up call", adding: "Well, if [rehabilitation] was good enough for him, I'll go."
The funny man also jokes about Mel’s now infamous anti-semitic comments, which he made following his arrest, saying:"God does have a sense of humor that he was stopped by the only Jewish highway patrolman."
In August, Robin’s rep issued a statement revealing that the star had "found himself drinking again" following twenty years of sobriety.
His rehabilitation treatment was described as a "proactive measure... for his own wellbeing and the wellbeing of his family."
