Congratulations to supermodel Niki Taylor who has announced her engagement to Burney Lamar. The Nascar driver proposed to her on September 15 at her parents’ home in Florida. Taylor told Us Weekly of their first meeting last January, “I looked at Burney and said to myself, 'This is the guy I'm going to marry.’”
Lamar proposed with a custom-made two-carat oval diamond in an antique setting. This will be his first marriage. Niki previously dated country star Keith Urban after her divorce from actor Matt Martinez with whom she has twin 11-year-old sons. The model, 31, suffered a near-fatal car accident in 2001 and has since been through some 40 surgeries. She is now fully recovered and owns a Nashville boutique called Abbie + Jesse's.
The wedding is expected to take place early next year.
