Matthew McConaughey and his friend, Tour de France winner, Lance Armstrong have laughed off rumours that they’re gay.
"We tried it (being gay). It wasn't for us," Matthew joked to ‘Details’ magazine.
"Our relationship just kind of developed," Lance added. "He got out of a relationship. I'd just gotten out of a relationship."
The Texas natives, who have known each other for eight years, started tongues waging after they started hanging out after both split from their girlfriends.
Matthew, 36, had broken up with Penelope Cruz and Lance, 35, had ended his engagement to Sheryl Crow.
"We all have buds," Lance says. "We all take guy trips, but you take something very normal and you put it in a magazine, and people start talking."
Matt adds: "A lot of people don't understand friendship and brotherhood.
"I have a great friend in him. It's fun going out and living life and doing things at the drop of a hat."
