The whole cast of the hyped film ‘Dallas’ have been sacked, except John Travolta.
The movie’s new director Gurinder Chadha is reportedly unhappy with the cast inherited by Robert Luketic, including Luke Wilson and Shirley MacLaine, and is replacing them with cheaper, less-famous actors.
The movie, an adaptation of the eighties TV show, was due to start shooting next month but has been plagued by pre-production problems. Most famously, Jennifer Lopez recently quit the movie.
Filming on ‘Dallas’ is now scheduled to start early next year.
Maybe now Jessica Simpson will get another shot at a role in the movie. The singer and actress revealed last week that she auditioned for two roles and got turned down for both of them.
The ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ actress first missed out after auditioning for the role of Lucy Ewing, saying she “couldn't really pull it off".
"They wanted me to come back for Pam," the 26-year-old adds. "They saw me as something more mature, and as a woman. I really thought I nailed it and had a chemistry read with Luke Wilson, who was playing Bobby.
