Katie Melua has set a new record for the deepest underwater concert, after performing in a gas rig in the North Sea.
The singer and her band performed a two-hour gig more than 300m below the surface of the North Sea, at the bottom of one of the shafts of the Statoil Troll gas rig, more than 300m below the surface of the North Sea.
The concert marked the platform’s 10th anniversary.
After selling more than five million albums throughout the world, Katie is Britain’s biggest selling female artist.
