C-Murder/C-Miller cannot give interviews to promote his new album, a judge has ruled.
The rapper, whose real name is Corey Miller, is currently under strict house arrest while awaiting a re-trial for allegedly shooting a 16-year-old outside a Louisiana club in 2002.
Label bosses hoped the rules of the rapper’s house arrest could be bent to allow him to promote the album, but State District Judge Martha Sassone said he will only be able to be photographed as part of the promotion.
"I don't have a problem with the photographs,” she said. “[But] there'll be no interviews, no music videos. I guess the music will have to speak for itself. Capitol Records will have to find another way to advertise it."
The rules of the star’s house arrest were previously tightened after Miller broke the existing rules by attending a movie premiere.
Miller’s re-trial is currently scheduled for February 2007.
