Jessica Simpson has admitted she was left red-faced after being rejected for two roles in the movie version of eighties TV show, ‘Dallas‘.
The ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ actress first missed out after auditioning for the role of Lucy Ewing, saying she “couldn't really pull it off".
"They wanted me to come back for Pam," the 26-year-old adds. "They saw me as something more mature, and as a woman. I really thought I nailed it and had a chemistry read with Luke Wilson, who was playing Bobby."
But, she says: "All of a sudden I get a call: not Pam. Everyone was saying I was going to be in Dallas, and I didn't get the part. I did not get it. How embarrassing is that?"
Her role is believed to have been snatched by ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress Marcia Cross.
The movie will also star John Travolta as oil tycoon, JR.
