Eminem is off the hook after Detroit police decided not to pursue a domestic violence claim against him.
Police investigated an incident between the rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, and his niece at his estranged wife’s home in which the teenage girl alleged he threatened to kill her.
Eminem tapped his 13-year-old niece, the daughter of estranged wife Kim Mathers' sister, on the head for hanging up the telephone on him, a police report said.
"There was no indication she was harmed or hurt in any way," Sheriff Mark Hackel said.
In the reports, Eminem’s niece alleged he threatened to kill her and that after "poking me in the head" he appeared to raise his hand as if to hit her.
Eminem has denied the threat and says the two were arguing over the girl’s school clothing.
After the rapper left he home, his niece told her grandmother about the incident, who then called her daughter, Kim. She then filed the domestic violence claim.
