Troubled rock star Pete Doherty has denied starting a fight with an Italian photographer after performing in Rome.
The incident - which left the Babyshambles singer covered in blood - happened outside Pete’s hotel, an Italian newspaper claims.
The photographer involved says he went to the hospital after the incident and is thinking of making a complaint against Doherty.
But a spokesman for Doherty says there are witnesses who saw the singer getting hit on the head with a camera.
"Reports that the photographer might make an official complaint will certainly interest Pete's lawyers," the spokesman says.
It’s reported that Doherty, who was swigging from a vodka bottle all night, broke his wrist while on stage, cut himself and carried on with the gig with blood on his chest.
During the problematic gig, the band’s drummer was forced to leave the stage after being hurt after a missile was thrown onto the stage by someone in the audience. The missile-throwing prompted Doherty to insult fans and smash up instruments with his microphone stand at the end of the gig.
