Online intelligence service Hitwise reports that that the words "pirate costumes" was the most popular costume specific search term, capturing nearly a quarter of all search terms containing the word "costume." The search term "jack sparrow costume" was popular thanks to the success of the movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man"s Chest."
