The Sugababes have been named the most successful all-female act of the 21st century in the UK.
Since bursting onto the charts in 2000, the group have enjoyed 16 hits - that’s even more than Madonna and Britney Spears.
The group made history in 2002 when they became the youngest female group to top the chart with ‘Freak Like Me’. At the time, Heidi was 18, Keisha 17 and Mutya 16.
David Roberts, editor of British Hit Singles And Albums, says Britain has a record of producing great girl groups. "Bananarama dominated the Eighties, the Spice Girls were huge in the Nineties, but the Noughties belong to the Sugababes."
The band have had a number of line-up changes since their debut. Siobhan Donaghy left in 2001 and was replaced by Heidi Range.
Mutya Buena left last December and was replaced by Amelle Berrabah.
