50 Cent Didn't Steal Song, Says Judge

50 cent photo 50 Cent is breathing a sigh of relief after a judge dismissed a copyright infringement lawsuit which accused the rapper of stealing the opening line for his hit song 'In Da Club' from the 2 Live Crew’s Luther Campbell.

U.S. District Judge Paul C. Huck found the line "It's Your Birthday" to be "common, unoriginal, and non-copyrightable element of the song" and was not entitled to copyright protection.

beyonce knowles Diana Ross could leave Beyonce’s Oscar dreams in tatters if it's true that the diva is set to publicly diss the movie-musical Dreamgirls, which is loosely based on her career with The Supremes.

Diva Diana aired her objections to the project when it was a Broadway musical and insiders say she’s now planning on dissing the movie to ruin its chances at the Oscars.

The singer has signed up innovative producer Timbaland, Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.Am and 'Lonely' star Akon to appear on the anticipated record.

“I'm excited because it's really fresh, something new,” Nicole says. “I like to sing a lot of styles and kinds of music, so it's kind of an infusion of all kinds of things.

Jay-Z "I'm Not Leaving Def Jam"

jay-z photo Jay-Z has blasted reports that he’s quitting his position as CEO of Def Jam to concentrate on his rapping.

The rapper took the role after taking time out from his recording career but now Jigga’s picked up the mic again, rumours have been sparked that he will step down from the position.

“Everything is good. I know there's been some rumours I was leaving Def Jam. I'm not leaving Def Jam" he says. “I signed on for three years, so I don't have any plans to move on."

Michael Jackson Gets Honoured At World Music Awards
