Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s controversial marriage has come to an end after 14 years and one child together.
Grammy-winning superstar Whitney filed papers in Orange County Superior Court last week requesting a legal separation from Brown. The reason was cited as irreconcilable differences.
"It is a legal separation. It is not a divorce or a divorce petition," Brown’s lawyer, Phaedra Parks, said.
"Bobby's not speaking with anyone at this time," Parks added.
In the court documents, Houston asked to be granted custody of the couple’s 13-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and that Brown be allowed visitation rights. She asked for property rights to be arranged at a later date.
