Usher’s stint in hit Broadway musical ‘Chicago’ has been extended by a fortnight, after his performances proved so popular.
The R&B superstar made his stage debut as lawyer Billy Flynn last month, and was originally booked for six weeks. But theatre bosses were desperate to extend his run after his popularity sent box-office taking through the roof.
The day after Usher’s first show, $200,000 in tickets were sold, which is a massive five times more than the show usually takes.
Usher will now star in the 10-year-old show until October 14th.
