Leonardo DiCaprio says he doesn’t want to make any more friends, as he’s sick of people who only want to know him because he’s famous.
The actor, who shot to mega-fame with ‘Titanic’ in 1997, says he’s surrounded himself with people he can trust and stays away from Hollywood fakes.
“It’s disheartening when you meet certain people and they’ve already categorised you in their mind, defined who you are,” Leo says.
“Those aren’t the kind of people I want to be associated with and I could care less about having a conversation with them,” he adds.
“Truth is, I don’t need any more friends. I have my friends,” he says. “But I meet people and, if they’re somebody I feel a connection with, I’m not going to say ‘I’m too famous and sceptical.’
“But I’ve a great core group of people around me and all this stuff has brought me closer to them,” he added.
Leo is currently co-starring with Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon and Martin Sheen in Martin Scorsese’s new gangster flick ‘The Departed’.
