Kate Hudson is filing for divorce from her husband Chris Robinson, six weeks after announcing her split from the Black Crowes front man.
It’s reported that the actress has since been seen on several dates with her 'You, Me and Dupree' co-star Owen Wilson, and the divorce will help clear the path for their romance.
"She is filing for divorce imminently,” a friend of Kate’s is reported to have said.
"As soon as she files, it relieves a lot of the pressure of going out with Owen,” they added.
"He makes Kate laugh. She's much more true to herself when she's with Owen."
Kate and Chris are trying to keep their split friendly for the sake of their two-year-old son Ryder.
"Chris calls and checks in. Kate has never been happier," Kate’s pal also revealed.
