Jessica Simpson was in floods of tears watching her lil’ sister Ashlee’s debut as Roxie Hart in ‘Chicago‘.
Jess flew to England especially to watch Ash take to the stage in London’s West End in the role made famous by Renee Zellweger in the 2002 movie.
"I was weeping. I was so proud. I couldn’t be more proud of her,” she gushed after the performance.
"My face is swollen, I have butterflies, and she pulled it off perfectly," she added.
Meanwhile, Ashlee has confessed she can related to her character Roxie, who’s desperate for fame.
"The play absolutely is all about celebrity and wanting to be famous and have your name in the papers and your picture in the papers,” the 21-year-old said.
"And in that sense, it's been kind of cool because I've really got to connect to that 'cause I've seen that world and been in that world."
Stateside, R&B superstar Usher has also been staring in ‘Chicago’ as Billy Flynn, who was played by Richard Gere in the movie.
