Hotel heirhead Paris Hilton is reportedly embarrassed by the police tape in which she is heard telling authorities that she is "not that smart" - something that the rest of us have known for years. The party girl was interviewed by detectives regarding a robbery in 2004 at producer Joe Francis' Los Angeles home, because Francis claims Paris told him at a later party that she had information about a suspect.
But when she was questioned, Paris told LAPD investigators that she was not a reliable witness and that she has a bad memory and that she isn't clever besides. (Hey, anything to keep from getting up on that witness stand.)
The confession can be heard on a police audio tape that was obtained by Dateline NBC and will be aired soon. "Like I really... I don't remember," Paris is heard saying."I'm not like that smart. I like forget stuff all the time."
A Hollywood hanger-on named Darnell Riley had boasted of breaking into Francis' house and he was arrested after Hilton's tip-off. Earlier this year he was sentenced to nearly 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to residential burglary and attempted extortion.
