Hollywood veteran Val Kilmer was so uptight when he kept forgetting his lines while filming "Comanche Moon" that he tossed a hissy fit and ripped off his period piece wig in frustration. Oops. Turns out it's the kind that takes hours to replace. With a day's worth of shooting blown, Kilmer then offered to pay $75,000 to cover the cost of lost production time.
"It was a very emotional scene... but that day he kept blowing line after line, and the director [Simon Wincer] wasn't able to get one decent take," the Enquirer quoted a source as saying.
"The wig was specially made for him and couldn't be replaced on the spot. That was probably the worst day of his career. He pleaded with the director for another chance... and agreed to pay out of his own pocket for an additional day of filming," the source said.
