Here's some sad news: actor Edward Albert died of lung cancer in Malibu on Friday. The guy was only 55 and apparently died in his sleep. He was a cool actor and had appeared in more that 120 movies and TV shows such as "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" -- although he was never as well known as his "Green Acres" actor-dad, Eddie Albert.
He starred in more than 120 movies and TV shows including: Midway, The Greek Tycoon, The Ice Runner, Guarding Tess, Falcon Crest, and Port Charles.
He spent most of the last 10 years caring for his father, who had Alzheimer's disease and died at age 99 last year, The LA Times said.
Edward was born in Los Angeles, and his middle name was Laurence -- named after family friend and acting legend Laurence Olivier, who was also his godfather.
