Dog the Bounty Hunter, also known as Duane Chapman, was arrested yesterday in Hawaii on kidnapping charges stemming from a 2003 arrest when Dog, now a star of his own TV show, went into Mexico to snatch convicted rapist Andrew Luster and haul his rat ass back to the US.
Also arrested were his partners, son Leland Chapman and Timothy Chapman (no relation) who were brought into custody on suspicion of illegal detention and conspiracy in a kidnapping.
Mona K. Wood, publicist for Chapman's show Dog The Bounty Hunter, insists he will be vindicated, "He arrests the bad guys - and he is definitely not one of them."
Luster, the weathly Max Factor cosmetics heir, had fled the United States after he was found guilty of raping three women - including (get this) 86 counts of rape, sodomy, drug and weapons possession and poisoning. -- and his capture catapulted Chapman to fame and led to his show being commissioned.
But instead of being treated as heroes at the time, the Chapmans were arrested in Mexicio shortly after Luster's capture and released on bail, but they failed to return for court hearings in Puerto Villarta. Mexican authorities wanted Luster turned over to them in 2003, but Chapman refused.
Incredibly, while Luster is sitting in prison for the rest of his life where he belongs, the US Marshals are indicating that the Chapmans face extradition to Mexico where bounty hunting is a crime.

I don't think that Mexico should arrest Dog or either one of his Brothers. After all, look what they were there for. They were Helping Mexico get a dangerous man out of their state before he hurt anyone else.Dogg and Leland,and Timothy were just doing their jobs like they always do.These men need to be praised , instead of arrested and put in jail.
