Super clueless supermodel Cindy Crawford doesn't understand all the fuss about allowing her 5-year-old daughter, Kaya, to model for a new line for Melissa Odabash beachwear. After all, the kindergartener is only just posing topless, and in a string bikini. While looking suggestively over her shoulder and um, showing off a tatoo on her lower back.
Odabash has been inundated with so much criticism, the company has removed the pictures of Kaya from its website. Spokesperson Roberta Correia says, "We've gotten calls from all over the place. Unfortunately, we are not able to release any of the pictures or info on the Melissa Odabash shoot. The pictures are actually no longer going to be on the website."
Crawford's representative insists the issue has been blown out of proportion, telling PageSix.com, "Oh my God, that's ridiculous. It's a stick-on tattoo."
The Kaya photos, showing Kaya in bikinis, topless and in short shorts - with "Tramp" stamped above her ass crack - have provoked a storm of criticism in recent days. "The tattoo, whether real or not, is the first thing that bothers me," one critic wrote on www.babyrazzi.com, a blog about celebrity baby pictures. "It is an adult pose. Yes, JonBenet comes to mind."
Crawford's rep claimed the pictures weren't meant to be used in ads anyway, adding, "Cindy's friends own this company. It was just a fun little photo shoot they did in Malibu one day. Kaya is not modeling."
