Avril Lavigne has apologised for spitting at photographers who tried to snap her after her 22nd birthday celebrations in Los Angeles last week.
The pop-punk babe was leaving the Hyde nightclub with husband, Sum 41's Deryck Whibley, and her pals, when she got pissed off by photographers taking pictures of her.
With her pals giggling behind her, Avril called out to one snapper "Hey f*******, come here" and spat into his lens.
But she says she now regrets her actions (yeah, right): "I'd like to sincerely apologise for my behaviour with the paparazzi.
"It's trying at best to deal with their insistent intrusions. I meant no offence to my fans, whose relationship I truly value.
"I have and will always go out of my way for my fans. My behaviour was a reaction to the persistent attack from the paparazzi.”
