Malaysian authorities have fined organizers of a concert by the Pussycat Dolls for allowing the singers to wear skimpy costumes and performing "sexually suggestive routines," according to a news report out of Kuala Lumpur. The local municipal council felt the singers flouted decency regulations citing: "In terms of their eye-popping attire, well, there's a lot of proof of that from our sources and the media."
The council President Mohamad Arif Abdul Rahman added, "The Pussycat Dolls were guilty of performing sexually suggestive routines on stage."
The all-girl "Don Cha" singers performed to an audience in Muslim-majority Malaysia as part of their global tour. Apparently, their fans in Malaysia knew what the Pussycat Dolls were all about - the arena was sold-out.
