James Blunt has bought a gun so he can "scare away" fans who congregate outside his new home. The singer spent $3 million (£1.7 million) on a vacation home on the Spanish island of Ibiza last month and was surprised when fans discovered it and began hanging around hoping for a glimpse of him or going through his trash.
Blunt - the same guy who was quoted weeks ago as actually saying ""To all those bastards who don't like my music you're all adults you can switch your radio off. I don't have to listen to it, I'm the one who sings it and it's continued to get me laid." - yeah, THAT guy -- is apparently so anti-social with his groupies that he wants to drive them off with a gun loaded with rocks.
"I've not had my place in Ibiza long but since I've been here, I've experienced a lot of people hanging around outside my house," Blunt said. "It's totally out of order."
"When I come here I want to get away from it all and I just keep to myself so I'd like some privacy in return. I've gone out and bought a gun that shoots rocks so if I catch anyone hanging around then I'll get them with that. Some people just go too far, it's an invasion of privacy."
Someone should tell Blunt that Ibiza is not a place for privacy, or to "get away from it all." That, and to enjoy his fame while it lasts ...
