Jackie Chan has taken part in a televised rally in Hong Kong to protest against local media intrusion.
The event was held after a magazine published semi-naked photos of the pop singer Gillian Chung, which were taken without her consent.
Action star Chan said he took part in the rally as, by publishing the photos, the magazine sent out the wrong message to children.
"They will go back to school and take pictures of girls' underwear," he said.
The photos show the 25-year-old singer adjusting a bra strap backstage at a concert in Malaysia. They were published on the cover of ‘Easy Finder’ magazine, which is known for its use of hidden camera and paparazzi photography.
"I hope people don't buy such indecent magazines," Chung tearfully told reporters earlier this week.
The singer, whose nickname is Ah Kiu, is one half of the Cantonese pop duo Twins. Her bandmate, Charlene Choi, took part in the protest.
