American Idol Runner-up Katharine McPhee, 22, is reportedly being wooed with acting offers by the likes of Steven Spielberg and Joss Whedon. TMZ is reporting that McPhee is "one of the lucky ladies up for the highly coveted lead role in the big-screen adaptation of Wonder Woman."
Vocal skills aside, can she act? Why would Whedon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Firefly") be considering McPhee over such a stellar list of accomplished actresses such as Sandra Bullock, Kate Beckinsale, Rebecca Romijn, Jessica Biel, Morena Baccarin, Charisma Carpenter, and Eliza Dushku to play the kick ass superheroine?
Nothing personal, Katharine, but you don't strike me as the Amazonian ideal.
