The Paul McCartney - Heather Mills divorce row is heating up as weekend events illustrated just how far relations between the warring couple have sunk. Sir Paul has frozen their joint bank account after allegedly discovering that his wife has withdrawn around £1million in one month, then he changed the locks on their London mansion and servants called the cops when Heather showed up.
First is started when the 64-year-old former Beatle was criticized by Heather as a blue meanie for his cold-hearted demeanor since their split in May. "I have never felt more alone in my life. It's like I've been abandoned," she said. "I can't pretend it doesn't hurt."
However, a source tells British newspaper the News of the World that Paul's response was, "I feel betrayed. All I ever did was love her. But now she wants to hurt me. This is very upsetting for me and my family."
Details of McCartney's divorce petition were made public last week and he is citing his wife's 'unreasonable behavior' for the breakdown of their four-year marriage. He claims that she was 'argumentative' and 'rude to staff' during their marriage, along with his assertion that she has reneged on a deal to take £30 million in exchange for a quick and painless divorce.
It's now believed that Paul is convinced his former love is nothing more than a gold digger.
As their latest skirmishes became public, one Sunday newspaper reported yesterday that on Tuesday when Heather arrived at Paul's house in St John's Wood, North London, to collect their two-year-old daughter Beatrice, she was informed she was not welcome inside and was told to meet Beatrice in nearby Regent's Park.
Following the hand-over, she walked with her daughter back to the house and discovered the locks had been changed. It is said that Heather called a locksmith to have the locks changed back but one of Paul's security men stepped in to stop the locksmith from carrying out her instructions.
Paul should have listened to his daughter Stella who tried to warn him that Heather was trouble ... For more information on the McCartney saga, check out the story in the Daily Mail.
