Hip-shaking babe Shakira almost had to pull out of a performance at Heliodoro Stadium, Tenerife, last week after being struck down with a severe virus.
The singer, who’s currently touring Europe, bravely battled through the performance despite a painful throat infection and a sky-high temperature. She ignored advice to ditch the set last minute.
But the Colombian star was forced to disappoint her male fans, by covering up her famous curves and ‘small and humble‘ lady-lumps. She followed her doctor’s advice and took to the stage wearing black trousers and a t-shirt.
"Shakira was feeling lousy and had a fever all day. It was touch and go if she was going to perform until half-an-hour before she was due on,” a source says.
"That's why she wore trousers on stage - even when she put on her belly dancer's outfit."
