Rap star DMX has been jailed after failing to appear in court to answer driving charges earlier this week.
He was held in custody by a New York court after a warrant was issued for his arrest yesterday. He was held on $25,000 (£14,000) bail.
Judge Barbara Leak was forced to issue the arrest warrant after having postponed his court proceedings twice.
"We have granted him a number of courtesies. It ends now," she said in Wednesday.
The rapper and actor’s, Stacey Richman, said his client had been unable to attend court this week as he was ill.
DMX, who’ll release his new album ‘Year of the Dog, Again’ later this summer, is due to appear in court in New Jersey next month to answer even more reckless driving charges.
