Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz is now admitting that he went into hiding for a couple of days after those semi-nekked pictures he took of himself with his camera phone were posted all over the internet. Wentz, who is 27 and still lives with his parents, says he was soooo embarrassed by the pictures that he almost quit the band and turned his back on his rock-and-roll career.
Pete said he thought at first that he could spin it on the band's website, but Fall Out Boy has more fans than he realized. And cyberspace is a big place.
The headless photos of his llimp dick and ugly stomach tatoo were emailed to his girlfriend in March but were quickly stolen and posted on numerous websites.
"For the first 24 hours or 48 hours, it was like, '[Bleep] you, no one call me, no calls returned, I'm not doing this band anymore; this is too much," he said.
The other guys in the band basically told him to butch up and insisted the pictures weren't that big of a deal. "They were, like, you know, 'Whatever,'" the bassist said. "And I don't really care about that anymore because it's just like three million people have seen me naked."
