It may not be as bad as Federline's rap, but Paris Hilton's attempt at becoming a pop star debuts with a song that is boring, syrupy, vapid and over-produced. Incredibly, "Stars are Blind" is tearing up the charts for the hotel heiress and party girl which begs the question: Who is downloading this crap? The debut track is from Paris’ first album which features a mix of pop and bubble gum reggae. But the song is just ... yuk.
Then there's the song's video, shot in black and white which features Paris rolling and writhing in the sand, dry-humping a palm tree, and braying at the camera with a lazy eye lip-sych. This is sexy? With lyrics like "Those other guys all wanna take me for a ride, but I when I walk they talk of suicide" ??
If you've yet to inflict pain on yourself today, view Paris' black and white beach romp of Stars are Blind. (You may have to register at youtube.com if you haven't already).
Then when you're ready to get the awful sound out of your ears, watch the video she ripped it off from: the sexy beach video in black and white (Voted by mtv as the "sexiest video of all time") with a gorgeous voice, the beautiful Helena Christensen, and an unforgetable song: Chris Isaac's Wicked Game.
