Mexican hottie Gael Garcia Bernal recently told contactmusic that being short has not affected his career, or from landing plumb lead roles. The star of "Motorcycle Diaries" and "Y Tu Mama Tambien" believes lacking height might even be an advantage to him, citing the success of Tom Cruise who is also 5'7". The 27-year-old from Guadalajara, Mexico, joked, "A lot of leading actors are small. Maybe you have to be small to fit into the TV."
Not only does his height not bother him, Bernal also says he has no intentions of moving north of the border to California to be in the hub of the Hollywood vortex.
He says that LA requires a lavish lifestyle that would drain his bank account. He told Hotdog magazine, "I live in Mexico. There's no way I'll move to LA. I know that it is expected - that I'll go to LA, everyone goes to LA."
"But I'd have to spend all the money that I've earned just to live in LA and that would be very stupid."
