Superman Returns’ director Bryan Singer says the curse surrounding the superhero is still going strong, despite the movie’s star Brandon Routh’s dismissal of the jinx.
Singer says the curse raged on during the filming of the latest movie, with one crew member being mugged, another falling, and a third going threw a window during the shooting.
"My crew absorbed the curse," he says.
But Routh has laughed off the jinx rumours, saying he won’t be hit by tragedy just because previous stars of the movie have fell victim to the curse.
Reports of a curse around the superhero started following the riding accident which left the late Christopher Reeve - who starred as the man of steel in the previous movies - paralysed.
Tragedy also struck George Reeves and Kirk Alyn who played the character on TV.
