Two characters will be killed off in the final Harry Potter book, author JK Rowling has revealed.
She says she had been planning how to finish the book series for a while now and actually wrote the last chapter “in something like 1990".
"One character got a reprieve, but I have to say two die that I didn't intend to die," she said.
But she refused to reveal any more details, saying: "I don't want the hate mail or anything else".
She also admitted that she had "never been tempted to kill [Harry] off before the final because I've always planned seven books, and I want to finish on seven books".
