Dustin Diamond, better known as super-geek Screech in nineties teen comedy ‘Saved By The Bell’, is going to desperate measures to raise the $250,000 needed to save his house.
The 29-year-old is trying to sell 30,000 t-shirts with his photo on for $15 or $20 (autographed), to supplement the income he makes from working as a stand-up comedian so he doesn’t have to move from his Port Washington home.
The shirts feature a picture of Diamond holding a “Save My House” sign on the front, and says: "I paid $15.00 to save Screeech's house“. With the extra ‘e‘ added for copyright issues, he says.
"I'm doing great with my comedy, but this is definitely a low point," Diamond revealed on a radio show last week. "Real life comes in and affects you."
