Tom Cruise has been named the most powerful celebrity in world by Forbes magazine, becoming the only star to top the list twice.
The ‘World of the Worlds’ star, who first topped the list in 2001, is the only movie star to make this year’s top ten in the business publication’s annual countdown. Tom was number 10 on last year’s list.
"He rises back to the top, not after his sofa jumping antics on 'Oprah', but on the back of his $67m (£36m) earnings for War of the Worlds," Forbes says.
The Rolling Stones are at number two and chat show queen Oprah Winfrey, who was last year’s number one, is at number three.
Although Tom topped the list, director Steven Spielberg - who took sixth place - was actually the year’s most financially successful celebrity with an estimate earnings of $332m (£179m).
Brad Pitt was at number 20 and his former wife Jennifer Aniston and his current partner Angelina Jolie jointly hold the 35th place.
